HIP's After School Scholars Program: Virtual Tutoring

In conjunction with Penn State University, HIP operates a high-tech virtual turoring program using SKYPE technology that helps children in grades 4 through 6. The tutors are Penn State students in their Junior or Senior years who are receiving hands-on experience by helping, and guiding the children with their homework and answering their questions. The students are children from our local community who need a little extra guidance. The program has been a resounding success for both their tutors and our students; so much so that we anticipate an expansion so that we can provide assistance to even more children in additional grades!

Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2017 Semester. If interested dont hesitate to contact the Hazleton One community Center
